15-Day Culture and 5-Star Luxury Vacation Route
We land at Ercan Airport in the magnificent northern half of the island. Our friendly and professional guide meets us and escorts us to our modern tour bus. We transfer directly to our star hotel where we will spend the first 3 nights.
We explore the peaceful backstreets of Nicosia, Europe’s last divided capital. After visiting the Ottoman-era Buyuk Han (entrance included), we take a short walk across the "Green Line" to the southern section. We then proceed to the majestic Roman city of Salamis (entrance included) on the coast to examine the ancient baths and forum. The day concludes with the Monastery of St. Barnabas, the patron saint of Cyprus.
We set off on a panoramic journey to Karpaz, the untouched region of Northern Cyprus. After visiting St. Andrew’s Monastery (entrance included), one of the island's most important pilgrimage sites, we take a break at Golden Beach, considered the most beautiful beach in Cyprus. If we're lucky, we might spot Caretta Caretta tracks on the sand. The day ends with a visit to the Church of Agios Afksentios, restored through an EU cultural project.
The first stop of the day is the magnificent St. Nicholas Cathedral (entrance included), now known as the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque. Next, we observe the modern production of traditional carpets at the Famagusta port. In the afternoon, we visit the Miniature Park, showcasing models of the island's 15 most important historical structures, before moving to the Kyrenia region for accommodation.
We ascend the Kyrenia Mountains to reach the village of Bellapais at an altitude of 700 meters. We visit the Bellapais Abbey (entrance included), a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and enjoy the unparalleled coastal views. We then descend to Kyrenia Harbor to explore the iconic Kyrenia Castle and the museum featuring an ancient shipwreck dating back to 300 BC. The day finishes with a visit to jewelry and leather galleries.
The next two days are entirely yours. You can relax by the hotel pool or sip your coffee in the picturesque cafes at Kyrenia Harbor. Guests who wish to do so may independently explore the Ancient City of Soli or the Church of St. Mamas, famous for its magnificent frescoes.
For the next 8 days, we relax at our beachfront 5-star luxury hotel with a private beach! While enjoying luxury in your modern and comfortable rooms, you can refresh in the hotel’s magnificent spa and sauna areas. Unwind from the tour with long walks on the beach, and on the 15th day, we head to our return flight with unforgettable memories.
